Commonwealth Construction Services was founded by Nicholas Moraes and Kashka Senat — two architectural designers with backgrounds in residential and commercial design. We started CCS because we saw a gap: homeowners and contractors needed professional pre-permit drawings, but couldn't justify the cost of a full architectural firm just to get to the starting line.
Growing up around construction and design, Nicholas always knew he wanted to build things — not just draw them. That instinct led him to architectural design, and eventually to CCS. Based in Saugus, MA, he's spent years working across residential additions, renovations, and new construction throughout Greater Boston and the North Shore, learning what it actually takes to get a project from an idea to a permitted set of drawings.
He started Commonwealth Construction Services because he kept seeing the same gap: homeowners and contractors stuck waiting weeks — and paying premium prices — just to get the pre-permit drawings they needed to move forward. CCS was built to fix that. Fast, accurate, professional drawing sets. No firm overhead, no inflated fees. Just the work, done right.
Kashka and Nicholas met in school, bonded over a shared obsession with design, and never really stopped collaborating. When CCS came together, bringing Kashka on as co-founder was a natural call — he brings the same eye for detail and the same belief that good design shouldn't be inaccessible to people who actually need it.
As an architectural designer, Kashka keeps client projects running smoothly from the first conversation to the final deliverable. He's the person making sure scopes are clear, timelines are met, and every client knows exactly where their project stands. His approach is straightforward: treat every project like it matters, because to the client, it does.
